# Jadeja's above figures are the best by a bowler against Deccan Chargers, surpassing the previous best of 5 for 17 by Amit Mishra for Delhi Daredevils at Delhi on May 15, 2008.

# Jadeja became the ninth bowler to record a five-wicket haul in the IPL, joining Sahil Tanvir (six), Anil Kumble, Ishant Sharma, Lasith Malinga, Amit Mishra, Harbhajan Singh, Munaf Patel and Lakshmipathy Balaji.

# Jadeja (48 off 29 balls) has registered his highest score in Twenty20. bettering the 47 off 33 balls for Kochi Tuskers Kerala against Pune Warriors at Mumbai (DYP) on April 13, 2011.

# Jadeja became the fourth player to be dismissed hit wicket in the IPL, joining Misbah-ul-Haq (Bangalore), Swapnil Asnodkar (Rajasthan) and Musavir Khote (Mumbai).

# Jadeja has become the first all-rounder in the IPL history to record a five-wicket haul and register a 40-plus score in the same match.

# Chennai Super Kings' magnificent 74-run victory is their third largest by runs margin in the IPL - the two biggest are by 92 runs against Bangalore at Port Elizabeth on April 20, 2009 and by 78 runs against Deccan Chargers at East London on May 4, 2009.

# Bravo's above innings is his highest for Chennai at the IPL. His tally of five sixes is the highest by a Chennai batsman against Deccan Chargers in an IPL game.

# Twelve sixes have been posted in Chennai's innings - their highest against Deccan, eclipsing the 10 in their total of 159 for nine at Chepauk on March 14, 2010.

Chennai Super Kings win by 74 runs

So the defending champions have got their first win of the tournament as they demolish the Chargers here in Visak. The Super Kings had so much firepower with the bat and Deccan just couldn't match it as they got exposed by the CSK bowling attack. Ravinder Jadeja really stood out tonight and showed why he was the most expensive man in this year's auction. Top scoring with an electric 48, and taking the first five wicket haul of DLF IPL 2012.

  • Dhoni: "We were quite rusty in the last game but I thought the boys executed the plan perfectly tonight. We batted superbly and luckily there was no dew and we put a really solid score on the board. We thought 150+ would be decent on this wicket and we got well past that."
  • White: "Jadeja turned the game at the end of the first innings, we are a young squad and we will take a lot out of the game to improve going forward."

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
