    ü  Both Subramaniam Badrinath and Suresh Raina have appeared in 63 games each at the IPL, sharing a record for most matches.  Both have represented Chennai Super Kings at the IPL, without missing a single game.

    ü  Suresh Raina (36 off 26 balls) top-scorer for Chennai, extending his record for the highest runs' tally at the IPL to 1849 at an average of 36.25 in 63 matches.

    ü  Raina has taken his sixes' tally at the IPL to 79. Only Adam Gilchrit has registered more sixes (82) than Raina.

    ü  Pragyan Ojha (2/17) took his wickets' tally to 62 at an average of 21.69 in 55 matches at the IPL. Only Rudra Pratap Singh - 64 (ave.24.59) in 56 matches - and Lasith Malinga - 63 (ave.16.61) in 43 matches - have bagged more wickets than Ojha.

    ü  Ojha's average in Twenty20 is excellent, claiming 93 wickets at 18.89 runs apiece in 73 matches.

    ü  Chennai Super Kings (112) have registered their lowest total against Mumbai Indians at the IPL, surpassing the 146 for seven at Cape Town on April 18, 2009.

    ü  Chennai's aforesaid total is their second lowest completed innings total at the IPL - the lowest is 109 against Rajasthan at Jaipur on May 4, 2008.

    ü  Richard Levi has recorded his first fifty at the IPL - his seventh in Twenty20.

    ü  Levi has received the Man of the Match on his IPL debut.

    ü  Rohit Sharma has recorded his sixth duck in Twenty20 - his second at the IPL.

    ü  Rohit Sharma became the second fielder to take 30 catches at the IPL - a tally exceeded only by Suresh Raina (31).

    ü  Mumbai Indians have registered their fifth victory in nine games over Chennai Super Kings at the IPL.

    ü  Mumbai Indians' aforesaid triumph is their second biggest over Chennai at the IPL, next only to the nine-wicket win at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai on May 14, 2008.

    ü  Mumbai Indians have won 34 and lost 26 out of 60 contested at the IPL - winning % 56.66.

    So a very slow start for Chennai, they got stuck in their crease and never got themselves going, losing wickets far too quickly. Richard Levi's fifty made Mumbai's chase all but a formality. Big result for Harbhajan on his opening match as captain.

    • Dhoni: "It was a fresh wicket with a bit of grass, we started off well but then got bogged down. It was a rusty start but that's not unusual for us. I think 160 and we would have had a great match, unfortuantely we made it too difficult for ourselves."
    • Harbhajan: "It was a good toss to win, the wicket was very unpredictable. All the boys did a great job and we fielded very well, that is very important and I am really happy about that.

    Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable. In doing so, he etched his name in the history books by posting the highest individual score in ODI cricket and became the only batsman to post two double hundreds in the 50-over format till date.
