 Morne Morkel (3/18) equaled his best bowling performance for Delhi Daredevils at the IPL. He had similar figures against Kochi Tuskers at Kochi on April 30, 2011.

 Morkel's bowling figures are the second best for Delhi Daredevils against Kolkata at the IPL. Amit Mishra had claimed 3 for 14 at Johannesburg on May 10, 2009.

 Manoj Tiwary posted his fifth duck in Twenty20 - also his fifth at the IPL.

 Yusuf Pathan recorded his seventh duck in Twenty20 - his second at the IPL.

 Laxmi Ratan Shukla's 26 off 17 balls is the highest in Kolkata Knight Riders' innings of 97 for nine

 Aaron Finch's 30 off 27 balls is his highest score for Delhi Daredevils at the IPL.

 Umesh Yadav (2/9) registered his best bowling figures in Twenty20.

 Irfan Pathan's batting strike rate of 210.00 (42 not out off 20 balls) is the best by a Delhi player against Kolkata at the IPL.

 Delhi Daredevils posted their fourth victory in seven games over Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL.

 Delhi Daredevils' eight-wicket victory is their second largest in terms of wickets over Kolkata Knight Riders - the biggest being by nine wickets at Durban on May 5, 2009.

  • Gambhir: "Morkel bowled very well and left us always a bit behind par, however I thought 97 was a decent score and was certainly defendable. Finch and Irfan just managed to take the game away from us tonight."
  • Sehwag: "Our boys did really well, after winning the toss our bowlers did really well, especially Morkel and Van Der Merwe. I was also happy with my teams fielding."

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
