# Upul Tharanga (59 not out off 60 balls) has recorded his 26th half-century in ODIs - his fourth against India.

# In Sri Lankan wins, Tharanga is averaging 43.86 - 3158 runs in 81 matches, including ten hundreds and 17 fifties.

# Thisara Perera's first three overs (3-3-0-3) were marvellous - his excellent figures of 3 for 19 are his third best against India in ODIs - the best being 5 for 28 at Dambulla on August 22, 2010.

# Perera has got his fifth Man of the Match award this year - the most by a player - his sixth Man of the Match award overall - twice against India.

# Perera enjoys an impressive record against India, claiming 27 wickets at 23.25 runs apiece in 16 ODIs.

# Perera took 28 wickets at 21.71 runs apiece in 16 matches in 2012 - the second highest tally in ODIs this year. Lasith Malinga's tallty of 38 at 32.26 in 25 matches, is the highest.

# India's defeat with 181 balls remaining is their second worst in terms of balls remaining in ODIs - their worst is also against Sri Lanka - with 209 balls remaining at Dambulla on August 22, 2010.

# Sri Lanka, with nine-wicket triumph, have equalled their largest victory in terms of wickets over India in ODIs. Sri Lanka had defeated India by 9 wickets at Colombo (RPS) on August 28, 1996.

# India (138) have recorded their third lowest completed innings total against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka in Limited-overs Internationals - the two lowest totals are 103 (twice) - at Colombo (RPS) on August 29, 2008 and at Dambulla on August 22, 2010.

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni, with Dilshan's catch, has taken his tally to 68 - the most by an Indian wicketkeeper
against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

# Kumar Sangakkara became the third wicketkeeper to effect 150 dismissals or more at home - 122 catches + 28 stumpings in 100 matches. He has joined Mark Boucher (204) and Adam Gilchrist (194).

# Sangakkara is the first wicketkeeper to effect four dismissals in an innings thrice in India-Sri Lanka ODIs.

# Dilshan and Tharanga were involved in a stand of 119 -Sri Lanka's second highest for the opening wicket at Hambantota - the highest is 139 by the same pair against Australia on August 16, 2011.

# Tharanga-Dilshan pair is the first Sri Lankan pair to record nine stands of 100 or more in 57 innings, overtaking the eight in 79 between Marvan Atapattu and Sanath Jayasuriya.

# Dilshan and Tharanga batted with a run rate of 7.14 during their stand of 119 - Sri Lanka's third highest for the first wicket against India (all three by this pair).
