82 Michael Lumb’s score is the highest by a batsman in a CLT20 final. This eclipsed Murali Vijay’s 58 for the Chennai Super Kings against the Warriors at Johannesburg in 2010.

124 Runs added by Michael Lumb and Brad Haddin for the opening wicket without being separated – the highest partnership for any wicket in a CLT20 final. Mike Hussey and Murali Vijay had added 103 runs also for the first wicket for the Chennai Super Kings against the Warriors at Johannesburg in 2010.

226 Runs scored by Michael Lumb in the tournament – the most in this edition. He went ahead of Gulam Bodi’s tally of 208 runs.

We decided to change it up by starting with spin and it worked today, but credit needs to go to the whole group as they have all been outstanding this tournament. The tournament has been outstanding and this is very special for us, we have showed the world over the last couple of weeks that we are a pretty good cricket team. One thing we did really well was play really good cricket as a team."
    • Petersen: "I thought we started poorly today, but nevertheless no one would have given us a chance to make the final before the tournament, we were completely outclassed today. I can't really explain what happened to be honest, they just played much better cricket than us. This tournament has been a great experience for us, the crowds have been fantastic and we have played some great cricket. There are some young guys that really stepped up to the plate and I am so happy with the way we have performed as a unit."

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata.
