Rajasthan Royals' good form continued into their match against Pune Warriors. Such was the impact of their win that it left Sourav Ganguly's side out of contention for the play-off's of the Indian Premier League. A statistical look at Tuesday's match.

# Pune's dismal performance so far in the IPL 5 is due to the batting of their main players. Only five fifties have been recorded by them till date - two each by Jesse Ryder and Robin Uthappa and one by Manish Pandey.

# Rahane's second duck in the present competition is his fourth in the IPL

# Rahul Dravid's aggregate of 393 (ave.32.75) in 12 matches is the second highest for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL 5, next only to Rahane's 463 (ave.46.30).

# Shane Watson (90 not out off 51 balls) has posted his highest innings in the IPL, bettering the 89 not out against Mumbai Indians at Mumbai on May 20, 2011.

# Watson's unbeaten 90 is the highest individual innings by any batsman against Pune Warriors in the IPL, surpassing Virender Sehwag's 87 not out off 48 balls for Delhi Daredevils at Pune on April 24, 2012.

# Watson is the fourth Rajasthan batsman after Ajinkya
Rahane, Naman Ojha and Graeme Smith to register an innings in the nineties in the IPL.

# Watson's aforesaid innings is his eighth fifty for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL - his aggregate being 1121 at an average of 41.51 in 35 matches.

# Watson's aforesaid tally is the highest for Rajasthan Royals in the IPL.

  • Dravid: “We are winning but we are also happy with the way we are playing, we lost the toss and the bowler's really delivered for us. It was as clinical as we could get it, Shane Watson was brilliant out there. If we play good cricket the results will look after themselves.”
  • Ganguly: “We were surprised that we couldn't get the ball out of the park, we had to get Watson out early to have a chance but that didn't happen. We are out of the playoffs but will need to play well for the next three.”

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
