Rajasthan Royals win by 22 runs

So the teams that are good on paper are not producing the results here in the DLF IPL. Menaria & Hodge put on the runs that put the game past KKR in the end. Kevon Cooper has come out of nowhere to be a bowling force in the this tournament, he takes the purple cap as he moves onto 7 wickets.

Tiwary got a decent 59 but it seems KKR can't harness their abundance of talent at the moment, the Royals on the other hand are playing to their strengths and it's working.

  • Dravid: "It's been a really good start, and it's great to see good performances from all of our players. We have a good spirit in the team and we will now have to go away for three away games and keep the momentum going. I thought it was a good wicket and it's a nice change from previous years. I thought we were a few runs short but we got their key batsmen out cheaply which won it for us."

  • Gambhir: "All credit to Rajasthan for the way they bowled early on, we lost too many wickets early and it was always going to be a struggle from there. We try to get the right combination with our team selection, so we hope we can turn it around and get back on track as soon as possible.
