Pune Warriors India win by 7 wickets

This DLF IPL just doesn't stop giving, another incredible game of cricket here in Pune as the home side win in the last over! Jesse Ryder (73*) with a superb knock as he batted through the innings. Steve Smith came out towards the end and smashed 44 off 22 balls to get his team home. Chennai have 4 points from 5 games and only won their last match on the last ball. Serious thinking needed from Dhoni and his team.

  • Ganguly: “The atmosphere was electric and it is a very good feeling to beat the title holders,. They were looking like they would get 170 at one stage, so I am very proud of my bowlers tonight. Steve Smith has improved immensely, him and Jesse were brilliant.”
  • Dhoni: “We are not executing our plans and that concerns me, Mahesh is a youngster and he was up for bowling the last over. It didn't go his way but he will learn from that, we haven't been bowling well at the death so that will need to improve.”
