Trinidad and Tobago, Somerset and Kolkata Knight Riders are qualified

Trinidad and Tobago, Somerset and Kolkata Knight Riders are the teams qualified for the group stage of Nokia CLT20 2011. Somerset and Kolkata are both from the same pool A. Trinidad and Tobago is from pool B.

 Before Match stats, Kolkata and Ruhuna got same points. So Kolkata need to score at least 154 runs to qualify for the group stage whereas they needed 167 to win against the Somerset. At the end they scored 155 runs in 20 over’s. Kolkata had the run rate -0.225 and Ruhuna ended the qualifiers with net run-rate -0.275.
Trinidad and Tobago was already qualified with net run rate +1.659. New Zealand’s Auckland Aces, England’s Leicester Foxes and Sri Lankan’s Ruhuna Eleven going back to home.


Brief scores of Kolkata Knight Riders v/s Somerset: Somerset166 for 6 in 20 overs (Peter Trego 70, Roelof van der Merwe 40, Jaidev Unadkat 2-31) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 155 for 8 in 20 overs (Ryan ten Doeschate 46, Manoj Tiwary 27, Roelof van der Merwe 2-23) by 11 runs.

Propelled by Rohit Sharma’s magnificent double-century, India marched to a 153-run win in Kolkata. While Eden Gardens celebrated 150 years, Rohit lit-up the stadium with a well paced 264 off 173 to make the occasion memorable.
